Thor Aie organic Calvados (8 years)

This Calvados was aged for 8 years in oak barrels before being bottled.  Its still light color is adorned with shades of yellow gold.  On the nose, it expresses slightly woody, empyreumatic notes, and traits of prunes and honey.  The roundness acquired during these years of aging develops aromas of pear, vanilla and dried fruits on the palate. The lands on which our apple trees take root saw in 1047 the fighting of the first battle of the epic of William the Conqueror (the battle of Val ès Dunes) “Thor Ouch” (literally, let Thor help us) was the war cry launched by the soldiers of the rebel barons facing the army of the young Norman duke.  The history of Normandy cannot be told without this part of Scandinavian mythology, a little wild and fiery.  These are the character traits of this Calvados which is still young but already has such great strength.
