Rubber duck Yarto - Old Fashioned Pilot Duck rubber duck

this duckling feels most at home above the clouds.  English World War II pilots typically wore uniforms consisting of an aviator-like jacket and trousers made from a waterproof fabric called barathea.

The jackets often had detachable fur collars and hoods to keep the pilots warm, and often featured reflective strips on the shoulders and sleeves to make them more visible in low visibility.

The trousers often had gaiters to keep the legs warm and dry and were often paired with flight boots.  Pilots also wore helmets and aviator goggles to protect their eyes from the wind and weather.

Helmets were often made of leather or other strong materials and had removable earmuffs to protect ears from the deafening noise of aircraft engines.

The aviator goggles often had mirrored lenses to protect the eyes from the sun and were attached with a strap to keep them secure on the head.  Overall, the uniforms and gear worn by English World War II pilots were practical and functional to keep them warm, dry and safe while conducting their flights.

Distinguished from other army personnel's uniforms, they were a symbol of the elite and brave men who served as pilots in the war.    Measurements: L: 10.5cm W: 9cm H: 9cm Squeak hole: no Swims upright: No Material: vinyl Age recommendation: For children from 18 months
