FLORENCE SOAP

The Soap of Florence is an artisanal formulation of soap originating from the city of Florence.   This type of soap is traditionally prepared with extra virgin olive oil and scented with lavender spiga, a very aromatic variety of lavender. Extra virgin olive oil is one of the main ingredients of Sapone di Firenze.   EVO oil is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, which help keep the skin soft and hydrated.   Lavender spike, known for its soothing properties, is added for its delicate scent and to provide additional benefits to the skin. Glycerin and vitamin E are highly hydrating and emollient ingredients, which help keep skin soft and smooth.   Glycerin, in particular, is a natural humectant that locks moisture into the skin, keeping it hydrated. The production process of the Sapone di Firenze involves the saponification of the EVO oil with the addition of the essential oil of lavender.   The soap is then left to mature for a few weeks, during which it develops its texture and unique scent. The original recipe for Florentine soap dates back hundreds of years, when Florentine soap masters produced it for the city's noble families.   Today, Sapone di Firenze is still handcrafted by Erbe Spezie Firenze 1314 using the same natural ingredients and ancient production methods.
