David Zulman and Martyn O'Dare both had a wealth of experience in the chocolate industry when they teamed up with Aidan Bishop to create Firetree Chocolate in 2017. They produce single-origin chocolates from original cocoa beans in small batches.
The cocoa comes from islands of volcanic origin around the Pacific fire belt. That, and the fact that a cocoa tree full of ripe, bright red, yellow and orange pods can also look as if it were on fire: the name Firetree was obvious. The chocolates are free from nuts and lactose. They are also halal, kosher and vegan.
