Organic Pink Marchetti Semi-Whole Rice

Rosa Marchetti rice from Una Garlanda is a variety of semi-fine rice, particularly prized and sought after.  It is an early and native Italian variety with a long stem and deep root system which, drawing nourishment from the richest layers of the soil, guarantees greater nutritional quality to the product.  Its grain is semi-long, semi-tapered and dark in color, which changes once in water, during cooking, when it becomes pink.  Rosa Marchetti rice is characterized by its earthy aromas, a flavor with a musky aftertaste and a texture that is crunchier in the center and softer around the edges.
