Bursera graveolens incense collected in southern Ecuador. Format in grains to be used on a charcoal for prolonged and intense fumigation. Palo Santo is a natural incense, of millenary tradition, obtained from the Bursera graveolens plant. The benefits that its aroma releases are manifold: it purifies the energies of the rooms, promotes inner harmony and mental and physical balance, stimulates concentration and introspection. It is the variety of the Manabì region in Ecuador. The Palo Santo of this region lives in a favorable environment: the terrain is not very rocky and the temperature changes are more delicate and the climatic and environmental conditions are affected by the proximity of the sea. These factors make the aroma of this variety more delicate and balsamic. The grains of the RITUAL variety have a larger format than the Ancestral variety, in cubes. The use of Palo Santo grains is very simple: 1. Light a charcoal and place it on the metal mesh that is inside the brazier (see one of our handmade terracotta braziers). 2. When the charcoal becomes hot, take a pinch of grains and place it on top of it. 3. Palo Santo grain wood slowly heats up to release a fair amount of smoke. 4. Allow the grains to burn on the charcoal until they no longer release smoke. 5. The duration of fumigation also depends on the size of the grains of Palo Santo chosen for fumigation. 6. For better fumigation, turn the charcoal with tweezers halfway through use. 7. For a more controlled and lasting fumigation, close the brazier. 8. When the grains are charred, remove them and add new ones. Compared to the stakes, the grain format produces a more intense and longer lasting smoke, without the need to continually light the incense as is necessary for the stake. Unlike shavings, grains do not need to be renewed. The grain format is suitable for those who intend to carry out purification ceremonies and rituals and for those who prefer to mix Palo Santo with other resins and incense.
