Round raffia rug - diam.2m - Leonie

Round rug, 200 cm in diameter, made of raffia, hand-woven by Léonie from the Rouge Beauté association. A very soft model with its braid of three strands of natural, tea-colored and navy blue raffia. Each rug is unique! Each craftswoman imagines her rug and the colors that will compose it. She does the raffia coloring herself. Once the raffia is dry, she creates a long braid, which she continues by adding strands of raffia and wrapping this braid around itself as she goes. That's why rugs are round. It takes about 3 weeks to make a 2-meter diameter carpet.
