 Like rayon, it’s made from cellulose.
 It's just a different manufacturing process which results in a slightly pleated, wavy effect.   Reminiscent of the 80s, with the crepe cotton blouses by Agnès b.   We advise you to wash your fabric before cutting the pattern.       This allows the finishing to be removed and the fabric to be fixed, which can sometimes shrink after the first wash."
