The French Brand
Capercaillie
Founded in 1912 in Bellegarde (01 France), the family factory of aluminum household items specialized in the early fifties in outdoor cooking equipment under the brand "Le Grand Tétras".
An extensive range of light metal utensils accompanied the post-war quest for freedom, in parallel with the appearance of paid holidays in 1936.
Carried by the mythical concave red gourd, Le Grand Tétras products have accompanied hundreds of thousands of French people over several generations.
La Belle Gourde also accompanied the first French expeditions to the roof of the world in 1978.
