Pineau des Charentes Single Grape White Colombard

This white pineau reveals a pale gold color with golden reflections.  The nose is open, fruity and fresh.  It opens with notes of yellow-fleshed fruits such as slowly stewed plum associated with floral and varietal touches which perfectly reflect the typicity of the grape variety.  The palate is straight, precise and fruity.  It opens with notes of jammy greengage complemented by touches of acacia flower and noble vegetable hints.  The structure combines a fruity and fresh aspect which extends towards a crystalline varietal finish accompanied by a slight bitterness.  Food and wine : Comté matured for 36 months, mirabelle plum compote Grape variety: Colombard Plot: Clay-limestone soil Visual appearance: Lightly golden Olfactory aspect: Lively with notes of yellow fruit Taste aspect: Notes of quince, mineral with a nice acidity.  Tense and fresh.
