Prince Larquey was the riding companion of the Black Prince during the Hundred Years War and was rewarded by this castle where viticulture was already practiced to supply wine to the abbey of La Sauve-Majeure. Grapes: 75% Merlot 15% Cabernet-Sauvignon 10% Cabernet Franc Tasting comments: In an exceptional vintage in Bordeaux, the 2016 from Château Prince Larquey offers a very pretty ruby color. The nose is a compendium of black fruits, spices and slightly woody notes. On the palate, the lively attack is prolonged by a pleasant sensation of freshness provided by the dominant fruit.
