Domaine du Grand Montmirail "Cuvée Vieilles Vignes" - Rhone Gigondas wine - Red Rhone wine - Vintage 2020 Terroir: The Domaine Grand Montmirail covers more than 35 Ha, planted exclusively on the hillsides and terraces located on the south/south-east side of the Dentelles de Montmirail, forming a superb amphitheater dedicated to vines and wine, located on the Gigondas appellation in the valley of the Rhone. The altitude of the vineyard varies between 300 and 350 meters and benefits from natural protection against the prevailing wind, namely the mistral. The grape variety is composed of plots of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, aged 15 to 65 years. Grapes: 75% Grenache 20% Syrah 5% Mourvedre Tasting comments: In 2020, this Gigondas from Domaine du Grand Montmirail, with an attractive red color with purple highlights, offers an intense wine with expressive and complex aromas of fresh red fruits and spices. Nice attack on the palate, round and unctuous. A remarkable wine, which combines finesse of the fruit and amplitude of the structure, and which ends with a very good length in the mouth.
