MITMITA SALT Mix - eco

Mitmita Salt Aromatic Blend is a combination of powdered spices widely used in Ethiopian cuisine. It is mainly used to season ketfo, a traditional Ethiopian dish made from finely chopped raw beef. 

However, it can also be used as a condiment to add flavor and spice to other dishes.   The selected ingredients are lightly roasted before being ground into powder to intensify their flavors. When used to season ketfo, Mitmita Salt is mixed with clarified butter (niter kibbeh) and crushed garlic to form a spicy paste. 

This paste is then incorporated into the raw beef to enhance its flavor and add a little heat.   Apart from ketfo, Mitmita Salt can also be used as a condiment to sprinkle on other Ethiopian dishes such as doro wat (spicy chicken stew) or kitfo sandwich (ketfo sandwich). 

It can also be used to enhance the flavor of vegetable dishes or added to marinades for a spicy Ethiopian twist.
