Black Mustard

Black mustard seeds are small black seeds that come from the same plant as yellow mustard seeds, but of a different variety. Black mustard seeds have a slightly hotter and spicier flavor than yellow mustard seeds. Like yellow mustard seeds, black mustard seeds are used to prepare mustard, as well as to add flavor and heat to dishes. They are often used in Indian, Middle Eastern and Asian cuisines, where they are roasted or added whole or ground to curries, chutneys, marinades, pickles and other culinary preparations. Beyond their culinary use, black mustard seeds are also appreciated for their potential medicinal properties. They can be used in traditional remedies to relieve headaches, digestive disorders and
