L'Opticienne Verte is a committed brand that breaks the codes of optics by offering a sustainable alternative to conventional glasses. We create eco-designed and manufactured glasses in France, for all those who wish to consume better.
Have you ever wondered where your glasses come from and what they were made of?
I am Florence Girard and, like three-quarters of the French, I need glasses. Optician by training, I am sensitive to the environment and to Made in France. In my 10 years of practice, I have noticed how difficult it is to find Eco-friendly glasses that are not made on the other side of the world... that's why I created L 'Green Optician.
In France, 13 million glasses are sold per year, or one every 2 seconds! Like the textile industry, the world of optics is largely owned by multinational groups that have outsourced their production. In addition to the considerable carbon impact due to transport, few products on the market are made from responsible materials. Once obsolete, these components pollute the environment for a long time.
It's high time to change the way you see the world! This is the challenge I have taken up by creating glasses that last a long time, in which you feel incredibly good and which, in addition, protect the environment.
Glasses designed in Antibes, handcrafted in Oyonnax, the cradle of French eyewear, from bio-acetate, a bio-sourced and biodegradable natural material from northern Italy.
In complete transparency, our glasses are among the few on the market to respond to the 3 axes of sustainable development: social, economic and environmental, by participating in the maintenance and creation of jobs in France, valuing and supporting craftsmanship. of the Oyonnax region and by reducing the carbon impact due to transport.
