Salt Peper Garlic Rub SALT, PEPPER & GARLIC, the SPG! SPG is a legendary spice mix consisting of salt, black pepper, and garlic. It has a long history in Finnish cuisine, as well as American barbequing. Season your food before or after cooking. Rub a generous amount of the spice into the meat, approx. 40–50 g per kilo of meat. Experiment with all kinds of food, from roast potatoes to brisket! SPG is ideal for beef and veggies alike – it is a true multipurpose spice. INGREDIENTS: Black Pepper (36%), Garlic (36%), salt. ON THE GRILL: Rub the spice mixture on the meat with a small drop of oil and grill the meat until cooked. IN THE OVEN: Rub a thick layer of the spice mixture on the meat and moisten it with apple juice, for example. Cook over low heat until cooked through. Mix the root blocks with a drop of oil and swirl them in the spice mixture. Roast in the oven. WITH PAN: Pat the spice on the steak or swirl the pieces of meat in the spice. Fry in a small drop of oil. Add a little liquid, such as cream, and you will get a great meat sauce. IN THE BOILER: Season the soups, stewed meatballs, and sauces with the spice mixture.
