At the age of 20, the Salzburg-born Mascha Lina Borodin founded her own label Maschalina and made a name for herself with luxurious fashion jewelry. What started with personalized creations for friends and acquaintances soon developed into an internationally sought-after brand.

The production of the handmade pieces took place from the beginning in social institutions in Austria. Through cooperations with established jewelers Borodin gained a lot of design experience and also increased the awareness of the brand "" Maschalina "" through the continuous attention of the press.

In 2014 she was recruited for an organizational collaboration with Chanel under the creative direction of Karl Lagerfeld. At Schloss Leopoldskron Salzburg, she organized backstage procedures for the "" Chanel Métiers d'Art "" fashion show and also coordinated the photo shoots of the collection for "" Vogue "" on location.

Borodin gained further experience in casting and fashion shows shortly afterwards in 2015 at both the "" Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin "" and the "" MQ Vienna Fashion Week "". There she was in contact with up-and-coming designers like Annelie Schubert or Marina Hörmanseder and gained further know-how for her company.

Shortly afterwards she presented her statement earrings made of Swarovski pearls and gemstones at the "" Milano Fashion Week "". At the exhibition "" Artistar Jewels by Vogue Accessory "" her pieces were found next to 140 international jewelery designers, which were also published in a book.

Women from high-ranking political and economic backgrounds to international celebrities and bloggers wore and photographed the sophisticated handmade earrings over many years. At the Oscars 2019 in Hollywood, however, for the first time designs were created entirely from 100% precious metals and gemstones and worn by Anna Ermakova.
