Product designer, I have been working in my design studio in Touraine for many years. Anxious to make my projects more responsible and respectful of the environment, I have developed a range of objects designed in an eco-responsible, entirely vegetable and compostable material based on corn starch and recycled wood.
The manufacturing method I use, FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology, is an innovative design technique that has many advantages:
- Additive manufacturing adds material by means of a melted filament, only where it is needed and therefore produces little or no waste. What little waste is produced is also fully recyclable.
- It offers the possibility of creating objects with particularly fine and complex shapes that are difficult to achieve with other processes and of responding to specific and/or personalized requests from customers.
- It allows me to work with a wide variety of materials based on recycled and crushed natural materials (wood, citrus peel, oyster shells, coffee, wheat, etc.)
- The particular texture and rendering associated with this mode of manufacture make each object a truly unique and original model.
- Each part can be made to order which avoids overproduction or unnecessary storage.
