This coffee has been specially blended with Sumatran and Vietnamese Arabicas and Vietnamese Robusta to produce a beautifully balanced coffee; it has been slowly roasted to produce a complex, deep and developed flavour. The Vietnamese Arabica in the blend is a little-known gem grown in the highlands, which have the ideal arabica-growing climate. A well-balanced blend of arabica and robusta coffee, the Java Sea Blend takes on a spicy, chocolatey, earthy, smoky flavour. This is typical of Sumatran coffees, ideal for all milky drinks, with toasted malty notes, exhibiting the aroma of apricots, with a creamy smooth mouthfeel and a long finish. As an espresso it will produce a deep and creamy crema. Every cup of coffee you drink helps the cooperative communities in the Batak region of Sumatra near Aceh and the Cudliemnong Cooperative in Vietnam. This is through an ethical premium of 10% of the price of a tonne of green coffee. All our coffees also support the Msia School Project in Tanzania.
