Maya Key Organic and Fairtrade Ground Coffee 250g

A stunning blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee with an earthy but sweet aroma, with notes of chocolate, berries and citrus fruit. This coffee is ideal for those who like milkier drinks, while satisfying those who like an espresso with plenty of body. Our Maya Key Blend is one of our Limited Edition ‘Noble Star’ blends; this coffee is both Organically and Fairtrade Certified, from the Chalmeca Community in the Arcadia Copan region of Honduras and the Rahmet Kinara cooperative in Sumatra. The grind is an ‘omni-grind’, which will suit all methods of preparation. As featured in Indy Best 'best ethical coffees for 2022', saying the following: "...this organic, ethically sourced coffee from Noble House is a real treat... We brewed this in an espresso machine to make a flat white with oat milk and it was divine, but it comes in an omnigrind so is suitable for almost any method and pairs well with normal cow’s milk as well...this coffee is a shining example of the quality it sells." This fantastic coffee is blended from 100% SHG Arabica Fairtrade and Organic coffee beans from the Chalmeca Community in the Arcadia Copan region of Honduras. SHG (Strictly High Grown) specifies that the coffee was grown at an altitude around 1200 meters above sea level; this harvest is also European Preparation. At this altitude, the lower temperature produces a slower maturing fruit and a denser bean, which is considered more desirable. We have also blended in 20% Fairtrade and Organic Robusta from the Rahmet Kinara cooperative in Sumatra, which adds wonderful body to this blend. Every cup of coffee you drink helps the communities in the Cocafcal and Capucas Limitada Cooperatives in Hondura and the Rahmet Kinara Cooperative in Sumatra. They are 100% Organic, 100% Fairtrade and 50% Rainforest Alliance certified. A further ethical premium of 5% of the price of a tonne of green coffee is also paid. In addition, all our coffees also support the Msia School Project in Tanzania.
