Originally from Madagascar, Ny Aina ROJO arrived in France in 2016. Passionate about fashion, she started selling ready-to-wear.
However, the advent of the pandemic is creating both a health and economic crisis. As a result, she was among the staff dismissed for economic reasons in December 2020.
Following this situation, Aina decides to carry out her personal project which is close to her heart: "to highlight the artisanal products of her country" and creates "MASÔVA" in November 2021.
MASÔVA literally means sun in Malagasy is a well-chosen word to represent the brand. Our bags will bring a solar touch and pep to your daily look in any season.
Madagascar is home to many natural resources that were always used wisely by the ancestors by transforming raw materials into handicrafts. So it is this know-how that MASÔVA inherited, more particularly the art of basketry.
Handwoven using RAFFIA as the raw material with a genuine leather finish, each piece is meticulously crafted by talented women who make your bag unique.
We are in direct partnership with workshops in Madagascar, which have been carefully selected for the quality of their work. It is women from underprivileged backgrounds who make MASÔVA bags by hand thanks to their exceptional know-how.
Thus our activity makes it possible to offer employment and stable income to our craftsmen. And of course to better satisfy the needs of our customers.
