This "Supremo" is cultivated in the southeast of Colombia in the mountainous region of Huila which is famous throughout the world for the quality of its coffee. It is particularly sought after for its larger beans (Supremo) than those generally produced in Colombia, because it offers an intense and creamy cup, in addition to the fine acidity typical of Colombian coffees. The picking is manual, the cherries are carefully sorted then pulped to recover the coffee beans which will then be washed in pure mountain water before being dried in the sun.
