Based on the edge of the rural midlands and on the border with Wales, Osity is a design led luxury stationery brand that has quality, traditional craft skills and sustainability at its core. Designs are inspired by a traditional printer’s workshop which feel beautifully fresh and contemporary but with a vintage tactile feel.

Founder of Osity, Sarah Wood-Lane is the daughter of an old school printer and was brought up as part of a family printing business. “My father’s print workshop at the bottom of the garden of our family home was a particular source of fascination for me as a child. It was full of old machinery, type and printing blocks, things that had been left behind from a bygone era. It left a lasting impression as years later, after I had finished at art college, I went to work for my dad in our family printing business and learned a thing or two about print and design.”

Traditional printing is Osity’s heritage. Our bold, bright, nostalgic and playful patterns and designs have been inspired by and originated from vintage type and print blocks which really work well together with traditional print processes and the sustainable materials that they are printed on to create paper products with a distinctive look and feel. Creating patterns and products that have heart and soul and that feel as good as they look are at Osity’s foundation. It’s important that they are beautifully crafted and can function as confidants for mindful moments, whether that’s capturing thoughts in one of our notebooks, sketching or lettering in our sketch pads, paper crafting and wrapping gifts with our patterned papers or writing a thoughtful greeting to a friend.
