Lemon Essential Oil

Believed to be native to Asia, specifically north-eastern India, Myanmar and China, lemons entered Europe from Southern Italy in second century AD. It is known for its citrusy and refreshing taste and energising aroma. Rich in antioxidants, it is also known for it abilities to neutralise odour. Alpveda lemon essential oil is obtained from mild steam distillation of lemon peels. Unlike cold pressing, steam distillation ensures that the resulting essential oil is not phototoxic and can be used on the skin with lotions and other oils.
