Arthemisia in the metallic "pink" version is a beer that contains the aromas of one of the most typical spontaneous herbs of the Val d'Orcia: Arthemisia, produced by the San Quirico Brewery to celebrate the first 10 years of activity, is a light double malt (White IPA) flavored with Artemisia cretacea, a plant belonging to the millenary farming tradition of this iconic territory. Artemisia cretacea is an endemic plant of the hills of the Val d’Orcia: it is a small shrub that grows in clayey soils and is known to farmers for its aromatic properties. In fact, Artemisia is very popular with sheep and is mainly responsible for the unique flavor of Pecorino di Pienza, a specialty produced in this area and famous throughout the world.
