CLEAR SILICON BEERBONE 0,75 LT

A beer for science made in Val d'Orcia: here is Beerbone, the beer created by the “Birrificio San Quirico” (www.birrificiosanquirico.it) together with the innovative Spin Off of the University of Siena “SienaBioActive” (www.sienabioactive. it) born in 2018 to develop food and cosmetic products aimed at improving the quality of life of users. Beerbone is not a drug but a "food product" which with its sales will finance the research project. Any consumer who "uncorks" a bottle of this beer will be able to contribute to scientific research on osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. SienabioACTIVE and the San Quirico Brewery, which is based in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, have in fact signed a strategic partnership aimed at developing this research project whose results could lay the foundations for a future "functional" beer that could soon be in trade as a nutraceutical product and food supplement. It will be a product with high added value which, if taken as part of the normal diet, can have beneficial effects on osteoporosis and osteoarthritis thanks to silicon, a natural element present in cereals, able to stimulate the metabolism of calcium and hence to fortify the bones. The future objective will be its marketing in the health food channels (pharmacy, parapharmacy, health food stores).
