Porcelain figure depicting a young girl sitting on the ground. She wears a short sleeveless dress in pink and white lace, with a pink pleated petticoat and an off-centre bow at the waist, towards which the draperies of the dress run. She wears her hair in a high, soft chignon, which highlights the delicate curls at the sides of her face, and sits with her legs elegantly to the side, her attention on her friends conversing around her.    Every object produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in the creation of each individual piece and in the production technique which is unmatched and which makes it difficult to imitate. These items are entirely modeled and painted by hand in our laboratory in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The clothes are thin sheets of porcelain, on which textures are imprinted. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then patiently applied to the body of the statue. The hair styles are also handmade from time to time. On the "bisque" terracotta the faces, clothes and accessories are painted with non-toxic colours; the piece finally undergoes a further firing called "third fire". Any further details such as violin strings or wasp stands are applied at this point to the finished piece.
