Porcelain figurines of children on rocking horses - large (14/T82)

Porcelain statues depicting a little girl or boy on a rocking horse.    She is wearing a brown checked dress and has two low pigtails. She seems happy to play with her new red-maned horse and seems to be saying “Look at me! I am happy!” He is wearing brown checked dungarees, a mustard t-shirt and a blue bandana around his neck, and is wearing a traveller's hat. He seems happy to play with the new red-maned horse and seems to say “Look at me! I'm a real cowboy!” Every object produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in the creation of each individual piece and in the production technique which is unmatched and which makes it difficult to imitate. These items are entirely modeled and painted by hand in our laboratory in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The clothes are thin sheets of porcelain, on which textures are imprinted. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then patiently applied to the body of the statue. The hair styles are also handmade from time to time. On the "bisque" terracotta the faces, clothes and accessories are painted with non-toxic colours; the piece finally undergoes a further firing called "third fire". Any further details such as violin strings or wasp stands are applied at this point to the finished piece.
