They are the perfect counterpart for dried flowers or palm fronds, but with a suitable, waterproof inner container, green plants can also find their place here. Sakra is characterized by its special weaving: stable, thick strands of untreated brown banana fiber are connected to a hand-knotted network of fine raffia fibers and shaped into a bulbous vase shape. The planter gives your living space a natural and charming touch and in this way creates an incomparable ambience. With its impressive height of 56 cm, it will definitely become one of the most eye-catching highlights in your home. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Mass weight: Diameter (at widest point) x height: 30x56 cm Weight: 1.51kg Our products are artfully crafted unique pieces. Due to hand manufacturing and natural variations in materials, they may vary slightly in size, color and shape. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Main material: banana fiber Our vases are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural. Banana fiber is the fibers of the layered trunks of agriculturally used banana trees. The intense brown color occurs naturally when the fibers are dried under the sun for about a week. The individual strips are then rolled into the characteristic, approximately 6 mm thick strands. Only old, dying banana trees are used for this material. This gives these crops a second life as a dimensionally stable and robust starting material for many handmade baskets here at Soeji. Other materials: raffia, nylon thread, metal frame -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Place of production: This vase is handmade in Java, Indonesia. When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions. Only adult and experienced artisans work in the companies from which we purchase our goods. No harmful chemicals are used during production. Since all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process hardly produces any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
