Get to know our farmers: Gishwati Cloud Forest coffee is grown 60km from the unique ecological hotspot that is Virunga Park and is home to a quarter of the world’s last mountain gorillas and other endangered zebra-looking Okapi. Gishwati used to host a number of different species like Chimpanzees and Golden monkeys. However, much of it was cleared for subsistence farming. Deforestation was so intensive that by 2001 only 6km of native Gishwati forest remained. Help us reverse it!
