Finally, another fiery classic joins our chilli family - red jalapeño [xalaˈpeɲo]! The origins of jalapeños and other chillies, which all belong to the pepper family, lie in Central America. They came to Europe with the Spanish seafarers. Our ripe, red jalapeño chillies come from our organic farm in Peru and convince with a pleasantly fruity spiciness with approx. enough. For comparison: Tabasco sauce has about 4,000 Scoville, Habanero chillies between 150,000 and 300,000 Scoville, the currently hottest chili Dragon's Breath has about 2.4 million Scoville. Depending on the cultivation, irrigation and ripening time, the sharpness always varies somewhat.
