As we all know, the best stories are told at the counter – and some even begin there...
Like SPITZMUND's. After Andreas Werner, an award-winning bartender, had spoiled his guests with original cocktail creations for years, he no longer wanted to just put other people's spirits in the glass, but also his own. So he set out to find regional partners to realize his ideas - with individual strengths that would be perfected in his products. The ANKER GIN started in 2013 and is still produced in small batches to this day. This exquisite New Western Dry Gin with selected botanicals such as juniper, plum, apple and citrus fruits blew people away in the best possible way - and laid the foundation for the SPITZMUND brand.
Since then, the Kiel-based manufacturer has continued to develop and expand its repertoire. But without shaking their core values. What can be done by hand is also done by hand. And quality always comes before quantity. What remains are the people in the region to whom Andreas Werner's team feels very connected.
SPITZMUND is looking to work with regional diaconal institutions to support them in their everyday work. Because for the native of North Germany, home also means a lot of responsibility.
But none of this explains the extraordinary name that the founder gave his company. It's actually quite simple: the SPITZMUND brand finds its role model wherever fine spirits and sophisticated cocktails find their way to the connoisseur's mouth. Because while the nose can already absorb the exquisite aromas that the individual ingredients exude, the palate still has to be patient. When appropriately attached, the mouth automatically bulges forward a good deal... and becomes pointed. Through this “SPITZMOUTH” the liquid enjoyment now begins its journey, first over the lips, then over the tongue, until finally all taste buds open and absorb the drink in all its perfection.
