Where Ru Pottery Comes From A group of more than 15 kilns in Qingliangsi Village, Baofeng County, Pingdingshan, was recognized as the site of Ru pottery production. 

They were first identified in 1950, and it was confirmed, through excavations begun in 1987, that these kilns were the main ones producing Ru artifacts.
