What is Ru porcelain? 

Official Ru pottery is a famous and extremely rare type of Chinese Song Dynasty pottery that was briefly produced for the imperial court around 1100. 

Many of the Ru pottery possesses a distinctive pale blue glaze called "duck egg", "like the blue of the sky in a clearing in the clouds after rain" according to a medieval expert, and devoid of any decoration, although their colors vary to to green celadon.
