2021 Pipelettes - Domaine du Petit Bonhomme DOMAINE DU PETIT BONHOMME - natural wine, rosé, Provence, France. Based in the southern Luberon, just around the corner from Aix en Provence and Marseille, Fabien Chanvas and his wife Laure have only been making their own natural wine since 2018. Before that, Fabien learned his craft from well-known organic and biodynamic (Demeter) winemakers for over 10 years. Today they grow Syrah, Grenache Blanc, Grenache Noir and Grenache Gris on 1.7 hectares and only make about 4000 bottles a year. Of course, the grapes are harvested by hand, the fields are worked with their horses and the viticulture is organic/biodynamic/equivalent in the field and in the cellar. They export their wines to Japan, California, New York, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden after such a short time, even if they are only a few bottles a year. We are the exclusive importer for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Domaine du Petit Bonhomme Pipelettes is a natural rosé wine. Named after children who love to chatter and just never want to stop. Pirate Style Rosé of a special kind made from Syrah, Grenache Blanc and some Grenache Noir. Direct pressing, spontaneous and natural fermentation and aging in steel tanks. On the nose you can smell subtle notes of black and red currants. Lots of freshness on the palate paired with notes of cherries and exotic fruits. Fine and equally edgy, slightly bitter finish round off this rosé perfectly. A rosé that goes particularly well with grilled meat, greasy fish and strong cheese.
