Teff, also known as lovegrass, is one of the smallest types of grain in the world. With lots of valuable nutrients and a great, slightly nutty flavor Teff seeds provide a wide range of possibilities. In particular as a gluten-free alternative to most common grains it is becoming increasingly popular. Our Teff comes from Ethiopia, the cradle of Teff. In Ethiopia Teff is already being cultivated for thousands of years and it is an important staple of the local diet. Our partner has been able to demonstrate the sustainable cultivation and trade of Teff seeds, granting him a rare, special permission to export unprocessed Teff seeds.
