Chinese black tea flavored with fresh Bergamot. An English tea time classic. His recipe is said to be an invention of the Fifth Earl Gray, who received as a diplomatic gift a Bergamot which he pressed onto his cup of tea. The legend varies according to the sources, sometimes the recipe is attributed to a Chinese friend of the Count or to a tradition of British officers based in Corfu. What is certain is that the recipe was first marketed in 1830 by Robert Jackson and Company which later became Jacksons of Piccadilly. 500g bag for bulk reseller
