Trenza is a French brand that celebrates craftsmanship and escapism through handwoven basket bags from El Salvador.
Conceived and designed in Paris, Trenza bags take shape in the small family workshop of our artisans, in the heart of Nahuizalco in El Salvador, in a subtle dialogue between contemporary design and traditional techniques.
We work hand in hand with this talented, caring team, deeply attached to its traditions, to bring each of our collections to life.
Passed down from generation to generation, these are the gestures that make up the history of Trenza baskets, and that give them remarkable strength and a unique identity.
Each basket requires between 3 and 4 hours of work, perpetuating traditional know-how and supporting a committed local economy.
They are braided from HDPE yarns. A mixture of recycled plastic, collected in El Salvador and processed locally by our partner company Salvaplastic.
We work daily with our artisans to guarantee baskets of the highest possible quality.
