Galangal Roots

Composition: Galanga Roots. Galangal, by its scientific name called Alpinia officinarum, is a plant that belongs to the same family as ginger, which is none other than zingiberaceae. This one is native to Asia, it grows in areas where the climate is humid and the soil is well drained. In this herbaceous plant, we only use the root. When dried, it becomes brown and hard as wood, with a length of 5 to 6 cm. Its thickness is 1 to 2 cm. Galangal is fleshy, fibrous, aromatic and its stems have a fairly strong scent close to ginger and tangerine peel.
