Ummei is a brand of luxurieus wooden Japanese lamps. Established in 2015 out of a love of Japan, it's culture and of course it's lamps. All lamps are handmade in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Designer Raj Schaling went to Japan to study the Japanese Language in Shibuya, Tokyo. There he fell in love with the country and it's culture. After his return to the Netherlands he's started making Japanese lamps in his small workplace and created a company called Ummei. Nowadays the lamps he makes are loved by all types of customers for it's high quality and woodworking.
