Comes to measure 130 cm. Cosmopolitan species that swims in the superficial layers of the waters. It is present in the tropical and temperate seas of all oceans, in the Mediterranean Sea it is found along the coasts of Algeria, Tunisia and Sicily. Skipjack tuna is caught all year round and is the most caught tuna species in the world and the most common for canned consumption.
