Whole steaks of Big Eye tuna caught from the pole and processed fresh in olive oil.   Packed manually. Long maturation.   The BIG EYE (Thunnus obesus) has a rather large fusiform body and eye.   It generally has a dark blue color on the back and whitish on the sides and belly, and is characterized by an iridescent bluish band that runs along the sides.   It can measure up to 250 cm. Bigeye tuna lives in tropical and sub-tropical waters of all oceans and, compared to other tropical tuna species, swims in deeper layers of water. Its fatty and tender meat makes it particularly sought after as a substitute for bluefin tuna. Label language: Italian
