2022 SPÄTBURGUNDER dry VDP.Estate wine

The grapes for this red wine come from plots with sandy loess-loam soils and colored slate. The grapes were very well colored and ripe. Due to the earlier harvest time, the wine retains a mineral freshness, the color is a little lighter, the wine looks a little “lighter” and has more flow. After the harvest, the grapes were destemmed and traditionally fermented in the vat within 10 days. This was followed by a further maceration of 4 days on the fermented mash. The fermented wine then matured for almost 12 months in used barriques made of Allier oak and the classic half-piece barrel, in which the malolactic fermentation also took place. 13.0 vol% alcohol
