The grapes for this wine come from plots that contain slate and some quartzite. With a slope of up to 40%, the vineyards face south to south-west, so that the solar radiation can be described as ideal. Thanks to the good ventilation, especially in the more wind-open plots in the upper slope area, the grapes stay healthy for a long time. The floors are often shallow to medium-sized and can be heated very easily. The slate absorbs the warming rays of the sun during the day and releases them back to the vines at night. In times of global warming, the higher-lying vineyards with their barren, rocky soils and their exposure and slope benefit with an ideal microclimate and longer hanging times. The result is wines that show the highest degree of minerality and finesse, elegance and ability to age. The grapes for this wine were golden yellow when harvested and very ripe. After the harvest, the grapes were pressed directly and spontaneously fermented in stainless steel for 10-14 weeks and left on the fine lees until March. 13.0 vol% alcohol
