Yacon syrup (200 grams)

Yacon syrup is basically an earth pear with very interesting properties. First coveted by the Incas for its deliciously sweet taste, Yacon has now become the main natural ally for improving intestinal flora and losing weight. It is also suitable for diabetics since its glycemic index is almost zero. The carbohydrates in Yacon syrup are essentially composed of Fructooligosaccharides which are prebiotics. These prebiotics are undigested by the intestine because they serve as food for the gut microbiota. This is why Yacon does not raise blood sugar. This sweetener does not generate reactive hypoglycemia and therefore helps prevent the energy drops that can typically occur after consuming sugary products. Its texture is smoother than honey but denser than maple syrup. Its taste is sweet, slightly tart, fruity and caramelized. It tastes less pronounced than maple syrup or honey.
