Genmaicha tea 90g

Ingredients: 50% sencha green tea and 50% roasted brown rice 🍵 PREPARATION OF GENMAICHA Infuse approximately 2-3 g of tea (one teaspoon) in 200 ml of water at approximately 85°C for 3 min. It is possible to infuse a second time in slightly warmer water (about 90°C) and only 30 seconds will suffice. This tea can also be steeped in cold water for several hours for an incredibly smooth result. 👉🏽 Moreover, because only half of the infusion is tea, this drink is less caffeinated than a sencha or other pure green tea. This genmaicha can be consumed throughout the day. 🌱 TASTE This tea with a pale yellow hue has a very mild taste, somewhat reminiscent of popcorn. Both discreet and warm, perfect for cocooning moments. 🌱 THE PARTICULARITIES OF OUR GENMAICHA The sencha green tea used in this Genmaicha (玄米茶, “brown rice tea”) is harvested in spring in Fujieda (Shizuoka region, cradle of green tea in Japan) by our partner farmers, who also produce our Culinary matcha. After harvesting, the sencha green tea is steamed for a few seconds to fix its properties before being rolled as is the Japanese tradition, in order to bring out all its flavors. Finally, it is mixed on site with puffed brown rice that comes from a nearby plantation. This sencha green tea and brown rice are both grown using 100% natural compost methods. 🌱 NUTRIENTS - HEALTH BENEFITS Rich in Vitamin B1 Rich in antioxidants Helps regulate blood sugar Zero calories and very low in caffeine Aids in relaxation and concentration Considerable aid in the elimination of toxins from the body. 👉🏽 Other virtues: Like any other organic and quality green tea, Genmaicha is conducive to good general health. To quote all its benefits (or almost), it would also have favorable influences on diseases such as rheumatism, osteoarthritis, problems of dry skin, wrinkles, water retention and dental caries... 🌱 HISTORY Genmaicha is also known as "popcorn tea" due to the few grains of rice that have burst during roasting and are reminiscent of the popcorn we know better. He was born in Kyoto. A legend says that the first to have experimented with this mixture was a farmer, who had the idea of allowing the poor to finally be able to buy tea, and benefit from its vitamins and minerals. Indeed, this mixture of 50% green tea and 50% rice cost less than pure green tea. In addition, people suffering from malnutrition consumed it because the nutrients in green tea and puffed rice gave them almost the same feeling of satiety as certain foods. For this same reason, the Genmaicha was also favored by monks during fasting periods, soldiers with very reduced food rations and people in convalescence who were waiting to be able to resume a normal diet. Over time, its flavor conquered all Japanese social classes. The highest, have sought to approach excellence in terms of choice of green tea and quality of roasted brown rice.
