Mate has stimulating and toning properties that help resist physical and mental fatigue. Mate is still present in its native state in certain preserved areas of the state of Parana, in southern Brazil. It is harvested only every 2 years, manually. Ilex paraguariensis* (native Maté leaves, stabilized with steam, then dried, cut and stored until ripening.).
