In fact, the fig tree is the first cultivated plant, a thousand years before wheat, barley were used in farming, people were planting this tree specifically for food and enjoying its fruit. Well know thoughout the Greek, Ottoman and Roman empires, this succulent fruitlooks like a berry, but is more similar to a pineapple in the fact it is actually made up of thousands of single seeded fruits.
