
Cascavilla Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a superior category oil, obtained directly from the olives of the organically grown olive groves of the Cascavilla Farm and solely through mechanical processes. The entire production process follows the principles of a short, transparent and sustainable supply chain and each phase of the transformation of the organic olives takes place at a controlled temperature to safeguard the nutrients and polyphenols, recommended for a healthy and balanced diet. The production of oil begins with defoliation and debranching and then moves on to washing and pressing, the moment in which the olives are pressed with millstones. The olive paste is pressed and reaches a maximum temperature of 26 degrees; after which it passes through the extractor from which the oil is obtained - now separated from the water - in its purity. What is the bag in box? The Bag in Box is an innovative packaging, designed to improve the conservation and transport of the oil. The pack is made up of a cardboard container which encloses and protects a vacuum bag which compresses as the oil is drawn from the tap. In fact, the measuring tap that comes out of the container is located outside the bag. The tap is anti-drip and equipped with a valve that prevents the reflux of air, thus guaranteeing perfect conservation, because the risk of oxidation of the product is totally eliminated, preserving its quality.
