Chick.peak.studio is an illustration studio, born from a crush on linocuts. It is a creative studio that is interested in original printing techniques. An illustration studio always looking for a rendering that has character and a unique grain.
In 2020, Clara Lagardère, the studio's creator, discovered linocut, this authentic printing technique. She falls in love with the long, artisanal and rigorous process before arriving at the final result of printing. She also likes the artisanal rendering full of hidden linocuts drawn, engraved and printed entirely by hand.
In 2023, she develops her first series of risographies. Risography is a Japanese printing technique, which uses vegetable inks and is made cold. Each illustration is printed color after color, like a newspaper. The risography gives a vintage grain to the illustrations, which changes classic prints.
The universe of the chick.peak studio revolves around surfing, nature and women. Clara Lagardère has loved illustrating these subjects since she was very young, as much as she loves practicing these sports in connection with nature. Hence his anchorage in Biarritz, which allows him to link his passion for the mountains and the ocean. While giving it material and inspiration to create, engrave, illustrate.
